Write a Treatment Before You Film Anything

If you can't articulate why someone would click before you make it, you probably can't make them click after.

A treatment is a short written document that describes what a video will be before you film it: the hook, the structure, the payoff. Pat argues that if you can't write a compelling treatment, the video itself won't be compelling either. It forces you to think about the audience's perspective before you invest time in production. It's the content creator's equivalent of writing the press release before building the product.
